Mason Massey to Race for Bill Elliot Racing with Jeff Foxworthy’s Full Force Energy Shot as Primary Sponsor

DOUGLASVILLE, GA–Mason Massey Racing announced today that driver Mason Massey will pilot the No. 9 Pro Late Model for Bill Elliott Racing during the 2012 season. Praelia Pharmaceuticals has come on board to sponsor Massey in the No. 9 machine to promote their new product Jeff Foxworthy’s Full Force Energy Shot which will be on store shelves in March.

“Mason is a good kid,” said Bill Elliott, team owner and former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion. “I’ve watched him race in Bandoleros and Legends and now in Late Models. He does a good job and we are looking forward to working with him at Bill Elliott Racing and helping him to progress on to the next level of his career.”

Massey will compete in a 20-race schedule under the direction of Crew Chief Ricky Turner which will take him to tracks including South Alabama Speedway (AL), Five Flags Speedway (FL), Gresham Motorsports Park (GA), Montgomery Motor Speedway (AL), and Mobile Speedway (AL).

“It should be fun working with young talent in Late Models,” said Turner. “It is going to be a challenge for both Bill Elliott Racing and Mason driving for a new team, but we are looking forward to figuring out what Mason likes as a driver and building his confidence throughout the season.”

Massey will take over the seat vacated by Elliott’s son Chase who has been signed to a multi-year contract with Hendrick Motorsports.

“I am really excited and honored to be racing for Bill (Elliott Racing),” said Massey. “It is not often that you get to race for a former NASCAR Champion with such a huge part of history in the sport. He is a great guy and I really appreciate him thinking of me when Chase (Elliott) signed with Hendrick Motorsports. Their Late Model program is by far one of the strongest in the country. It is definitely going to be a huge challenge moving up from the Legend cars, but a challenge that I have prayed for.”

Massey has accumulated numerous accomplishments including multiple championships throughout his racing career and he is ready to take the next step and continue honing his skills behind the wheel.

“Working with a Crew Chief like Ricky (Turner) is something all drivers would love to do,” said the young racer. “He is so knowledgeable on these late models and is a good guy. He reminds me so much of my current Legend Car Crew Chief, Doug Stevens, because he is very quiet and always focused on getting the cars to run faster. Ricky and Doug are both considered to be the very best at what they do and I can not wait until we get started with this Late Model program.”

The team is very proud to announce the partnership with Praelia Pharmaceuticals and the brand new Jeff Foxworthy’s Full Force Energy Shot. Massey will participate in appearances at various food and drug chains that will carry the product once it has been released, as well as handing out samples of the Shot and other Praelia Pharmaceuticals products at the race track.

“Praelia Pharmaceuticals is excited to be starting a new venture with Mason,” said Steven Lutz, the company’s Chief Executive. “Together our winning combination will successfully launch Jeff Foxworthy’s Full Force Energy Shot. The Foxworthy Family and the Massey family exemplify good people and we are proud to have them as a part of our team. We look forward to building a lasting relationship that will continue long into the future.”

Massey will get behind the wheel of the No. 9 machine for the first time on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012, at South Alabama Speedway for the Pro Late Model Rattler 125 with Jeff Foxworthy’s Full Force Energy Shot on the car.
