GMP Launches New Street Drag / Show N’ Shine Facebook Page

GMPstreetdragsGresham Motorsports Park today launched a new Facebook page solely dedicated to the track’s new Street Drag / Show N’ Shine programs.

Fans can ‘like’ and ‘share’ the new page on Facebook at GMP Street Drag.

“The new GMP Street Drag / Show N’ Shine program is going to be heavily driven and promoted on Social Media,” stated GMP Street Drag/Show N’ Shine program director Nathaniel ‘Boo’ Carlisle. “We expect to attract people of all ages to these events – especially young people who really use Social Media to communicate. By giving the Street Drag / Show N’ Shine program it’s own Facebook page, everyone will have a one-stop place to get and exchange information and photos.”

The first GMP Street Drag/Show N’ Shine program will be held on Saturday, April 12. In all, Gresham Motorsports Park will host eight Street Drag/Show N’ Shine events in 2014. Each event will feature a Car Show from 2-5:30 p.m. before the Street Drag portion of the program goes green at 6 p.m.

Adult admission is just $5 for both the Car Show and Street Drag program while participant vehicle registration (including driver) is only $10. Finally, racers can purchase competition brackets (double elimination format) for just $5 each.

Street Drag participants will be able to select a bracket and make head-to-head runs against like-kind, street-legal cars on the 300-foot GMP ‘drag strip.’ In all, there will be 10 different brackets to choose from with brackets ranging from American Muscle to Mini Vans.

All Street Drag bracket winners – as well as all Show N’ Shine category winners – will receive a trophy.
