MotoAmerica took on the 12 turns of Road Atlanta on April 17-19. This was the first time since 2012, the series has visited the track. MotoAmerica is a professional motorcycle racing series sanctioned by the AMA and FIM North America. On Sunday the racing was delayed by heavy rains that flooded parts of the track temporarily. The event featured four classes of competition with a total six races.

Monster Energy/Graves Yamaha Cameron Beaubier had a perfect day winning both SuperBike Races in less than perfect conditions of wet weather. In race 1, Beaubier trumped his teammate Josh Hayes by 4.699 seconds. In the second race, Beaubier scored his second victory, out pacing Jake Lewis by 3.789 seconds. In Race 2, both Josh Hayes and Roger Hayden crashed.

Joe Roberts scored a pair of victories in the Superstock 600 class, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. The second Supersport race of the weekend featured the exact same podium as Saturday’s race, but in a different order. Yamalube/Graves Yamaha’s Garrett Gerloff dominated today’s race to become the third different Supersport winner in the three-race old season. Gerloff beat Saturday’s winner Josh Herrin by 8.630 seconds. Gerloff’s teammate JD Beach finished third for the second straight day on his Yamaha R6.
After the Atlanta race, Josh Day was hired by Yamalube/Westby Racing to compete aboard the #00 Yamaha YZF-R1 Superstock 1000 bike for the remainder of the 2015 MotoAmerica Road Racing Championship season.
