HAMPTON, Ga. (Feb. 17, 2010) - Defending Kobalt Tools 500 champion Kurt Busch appeared at The Varsity on Wednesday to assist Atlanta Motor Speedway in promoting the upcoming 2010 edition of the Kobalt Tools 500.

Busch, the 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and a two-time winner at AMS, met with fans and media after touring the famous Atlanta landmark known as, "The World's largest Drive-in Restaurant."

"Atlanta is a track you can run wide open with all 850 horsepower," Kurt told fans during a lunch question-and-answer session. "You barrel down into Turn One and it's one of those feelings - just to drive it down in there, you're sliding off to the side and the g-force pushes you down into the seat - Atlanta is a lot of fun."

For more information on the upcoming Kobalt Tools 500 race weekend or to purchase tickets, contact the Atlanta Motor Speedway Ticket Office at (770) 946-3917, (877) 9-AMS-TIX, or visit www.atlantamotorspeedway.com

Fans signed up for a drawing for free Kolbalt 500 tickets and Richard Petty Driving Experience rides. South Side Steve from Rock 100.5 interviews Kurt.
South Side Steve must have asked some tough questions, Kurt looks a littled dazed afterwards. One fan was so hungry for Varsity chow, he couldn't wait for Kurt to start taking orders.
These fans were eagerly awaiting the chance for Kurt to serve them Varsity dogs. Kurt must have been a dog-slinger when he was younger, just look at the professional way he handles the orders.
The line of fans was phenomenal - everyone wanted to get up close and personal with the NASCAR Sprint Cup driver. Who does he think he is? After Kurt's "shift" was over he left the clean up duties in the kitchen to the other hard-working employees! Slacker...
