SENOIA, Ga. — Georgia motorsports enthusiasts can mark their calendars for Saturday, March 10th as an opportunity to buy, sell and trade racing items at the inaugural Senoia Raceway Swap & Shop. The 3/8ths mile clay track will host the event allowing vendors to bring in their engines, transmissions and chassis to shocks, wheels and suspension parts. The track has also received inquiries from vendors bringing ready to race race cars, trailers, tires, tools and tool boxes and more.
“This creates an opportunity for our race teams to clean out the garage before the season opens and maybe get a few items they need for the season,” said Senoia Raceway promoter Tim Moses. “You can buy, sell or trade for the stuff you need. It may save some dollars versus finding the parts on line or in a catalog.”
The Senoia Raceway Swap & Shop is open to all forms of motorsports. Vendor spaces will be $20 each with a general admission ticket set at $3. Vendor spaces will be available on a first come, first serve basis starting at 8am Saturday, March 10th. The general public is welcomed to begin shopping at 9am.
The track will also run an open practice on Saturday, March 10th. It will be the first time that drivers in all the divisions competing this season will have an opportunity to test out the new racing surface. The grandstand will also be open and free for the fans to come out and get an early season glimpse of the new race cars and changes at the track. The practice will begin at 2pm on Saturday, March 10th and wind down around 5pm.
Senoia Raceway is located five miles west of Senoia, GA, on Georgia Highway 16. The track will host weekly racing in Late Models, B Cadets, Hobby Stock, Mini Stock and Bombers beginning on Saturday, March 31st. Opening night will also feature the 2nd Annual Spring Fling 40 for the late models paying $1500 to the winner.
