Atlanta Motor Speedway will host the inaugural Atlanta Motorama, Georgia’s Motoring Festival, on April 26-27, 2014. Entry into the Atlanta Motorama will be open to anything with an engine, ranging from muscle cars, imports and trucks to big rigs, motorcycles and even boats and vintage RVs.
“Throughout this country, there is no shortage of people who love cars and vehicles of all shapes and sizes, and we’re ecstatic about celebrating that passion with the Atlanta Motorama next April,” said Atlanta Motor Speedway President and General Manager Ed Clark. “No matter your interest in motorized vehicles, this will be an event that you won’t want to miss.”
The event will be a motoring festival with other scheduled activities including a swap meet, car sale corral, music, autocross competition, kids activities, educational seminars, stunt teams, celebrity appearances and more. Prizes will be awarded to vehicle entries in multiple categories.
Chas Sydney, owner of Show World Productions, has organized numerous car shows across the country and is one of the Atlanta Motorama event organizers. He recently produced the World of Wheels show, held in downtown Atlanta.
“We are very excited to be working with the Atlanta Motor Speedway team. Our collective goal is to produce an event unlike anything ever seen in Georgia,” Sydney said. “The Atlanta Motorama will be a fun-filled interactive festival that will include elements of the automotive hobby that have never been presented collectively in the same venue in Georgia. The infrastructure of Atlanta Motor Speedway makes it the perfect location for Georgia’s first Automotive Festival. ”
Spectator admission to the Atlanta Motorama will be $12 for adults. Kids ages 6-12 will get in for $5 and those age 5 or younger will be admitted free. Car show entry is $25 per vehicle. Swap meet and for sale corral spaces will be $50 per spot.
