Atlanta Dragway regular Rachel Flowers made history in winning a special NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League exhibition against three JDRL alums at zMAX Dragway at the 4-Wide event.
Running in the exhibition event alongside Flowers were Top Fuel drivers Leah Pritchett and J.R. Todd and Funny Car competitor Blake Alexander.
Four teenage girls competed on Saturday at the 4-Wide Event at Zmax Dragway for the opportunity of the winner competing against three Mellow Yellow Pro Drivers on Sunday.
The teenage drivers are: Maddie Lee, 16 years old from Campobello, SC, who started racing at 9 years old, her first win was at Atlanta Dragway in 2009; Rachel Flowers, 13 years old of Loganville, GA whose first win was at Atlanta Dragway in 2013; Treasure Severance, 15 years old, whose first win was at Kinston Dragway in 2013; and Angelica Severance, 14 years old, whose first win was at New Bern Dragway in 2012.
Rachel Flowers and the other three teenage drivers will be names that we will see in the future of NHRA.
