Barber Motorsports Park to Stage 3rd Annual Barber Historics

The 3rd Annual Barber Historics showcases historically significant racecars of all marques from the early days of the sport through the 1980s. The ticketed event, with vintage auto racing sanctioned by the Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) and hosted in association with ZOOM Motorsports, is open to the public and takes place at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, on May 19-21, 2017. Tickets can be purchased online at www.barberracingevents.com starting at only $10.

At Barber Historics, some of the world’s finest and most impressive historic racecars compete on the track in a variety of classes based on engine type, car size, and age. This is a rare and special opportunity to see and hear cars that shaped the history of racing, ranging from classic Minis and MGs, to the best from Lotus and Porsche.

“Barber Motorsports Park with its beautiful grounds, museum and track make the perfect stage on which to enjoy the performance of historic racing cars. The event will truly bring the history of motorsports, with all its sights, smells, and spectacular noises, to life in a weekend long celebration of the sport,” said Cris Vandagriff, President of HMSA.

In addition to vintage auto racing, park guests can shop for automobilia and rare car and motorcycle parts at the Barber Historics Swap Meet. An art

event takes place in the swap meet area as well, highlighting the works of local artisans and makers.
