The Tequila Patrón Funny Car team will compete at this weekend’s NHRA Heartland Nationals with fill-in driver Chad Head behind the wheel of Alexis DeJoria’s Toyota Camry.
Head, who was appointed the role of interim driver by DeJoria just prior to the Four-Wide Nationals, will continue to work with co-crew chiefs Nicky Boninfante and Tommy DeLago on building upon the team’s on-track performance in her absence. While a date is still to be determined, DeJoria looks forward to returning to the seat of her Tequila Patrón Toyota Camry soon.
Head and the Kalitta Motorsports Tequila Patrón Toyota Camry Funny Car team begin qualifying for the 29th annual Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals presented by Minties at 4:00 p.m. (CT) on Friday, May 19.
