SENOIA RACEWAY FOLLOWING NATIONAL AND STATE AGENCY RECOMMENDATIONS CANCELS EVENTS THROUGH APRIL 11

The racing season at Senoia Raceway will remain on hold as the nation fights the Coronavirus and government agencies continue to ask for social distancing and recommend no gatherings larger than ten.  Events scheduled for this weekend, April 4th and April 11th have been cancelled with hopes of opening the action with the rescheduled Spring Classic on Saturday, April 18th.

“We have decided to postpone the race events at Senoia Raceway through the April 11th race,” said promoter Mayes Massey.  “This difficult decision is made with the safety and well-being of our fans, competitors, officials and everyone associated with the track. We will continue to monitor the situation and make any necessary changes to the future schedule.”

Senoia Raceway plans to reschedule the events that have been lost so far this year.  Massey and other track officials are looking at weekends that remain open on the track calendar and the various series planning on events at the 3/8ths mile bull ring.

“We will continue to listen to our health experts, national and state officials,” added Massey.  “If more adjustments need to be made on the schedule, we will update on our social media sources.  We just want everyone to be safe.”

Updates to the Senoia Raceway schedule of events can be followed on the track website at www.senoiaraceway.com or via the track’s Facbook page, Twitter and Instagram feeds.
