Ricky Weiss had the luck of the Irish on Saturday night, as he drove to the Ultimate Super Late Model Series win in The Shamrock at Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia.
The Headingley Manitoba, Canada native led flag-to-flag and held off Commerce, Georgia’s Payton Freeman at the checkered flag to score his first career series win.
The win was worth a $5,000 payday for Weiss, who started the night on the pole after turning a lap at 14.927 seconds in qualifying.
Freeman came home in second, with Jimmy Owens in third, Cory Hedgecock in fourth, and Cameron Weaver in fifth.
Cody Overton, Ashton Winger, Jaden Frame, Dalton Cook, and Jed Emert rounded out the top 10.
