18-year-old Jake Finch scored big at Talladega Superspeedway this afternoon in the General Tire 200, earning his first win at the track where his father James won as a team owner with Phoenix Racing.
Jake Finch held a steady lead throughout the entire race, maintaining constant control. Today, he became the first driver in the history of the ARCA Menards Series to lead a Talladega race wire-to-wire.
Jake’s father James joined the celebrations in Mobil 1 Victory Lane alongside his son, fifteen years after Phoenix Racing’s prestigious Talladega win in which Brad Keselowski took the checkered flag for the Finch family.
Jake’s Venturini Motorsports teammate Kris Wright finished second, following closely behind Finch for the last 30 laps.
Tanner Gray finished third driving the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota. Gus Dean and Christian Rose rounded out the Top 5.
