450 Foxborough Facts:

  • HISTORY LESSON: The first 450SX Class round held in Foxborough was on July 24, 1983, in Schaefer Stadium. Mark Barnett (Suzuki) waltzed into the penultimate round with an 11 point lead on David Bailey (Honda), but Barnett’s transmission failed in the semi-qualifier disallowing him to compete in the LCQ per antiquated rules. Bailey scored the victory and left with a 10 point advantage in the Championship. It was just enough room to win the title by two points over Barnett in the Rose Bowl finale.
  • SHAEFER STADIUM: Schaefer Stadium hosted Supercross in 1983, 1984, and 1990. Bailey (Honda) repeated in 1984, and Honda made it 3/3 in Foxborough thanks to JM Bayle in 1990. Supercross never returned to Schaefer Stadium before it was demolished in lieu of Gillette Stadium.
  • THE BEST A MAN CAN GET: Supercross returned to Foxborough 25 years later visiting Gillette Stadium in 2016 and Ken Roczen (Suzuki) scored the late season victory. In 2018, Marvin Musquin (KTM) won Gillette and in 2022 Anderson (Kawasaki) claimed the home of the Patriots. Last season, Cooper Webb (Yamaha) not only scored the win but tied rookie phenom Jett Lawrence in the point standings with only four rounds remaining. In all the above Foxborough victories the winning athletes were amid huge title comebacks but fell short each time in the final tally.
  • CHAMPIONSHIP %: 1983 is the only instance of the Foxborough victor scoring the 450SX Class Championship. 1/3 in Schaefer Stadium and 0/4 in Gillette Stadium for 1/7 (14%) overall. 2025 marks the eighth time the 450SX Class visits Foxborough and fifth in Gillette Stadium.

Nate Thrasher

NATE THRASHER: (3-3-2) Scores his sixth career 250SX Class win becoming the first athlete across both classes to nail multiple Triple Crown overall victories without winning a race. It was his first win and podium of the season and seeks his 40th career 250SX Class start in Foxborough.

RJ Hampshire

RJ HAMPSHIRE: (1-2-5) Remains in the title hunt with a second overall in Birmingham. Hampshire ties Mike Brown for 10th on the all-time 250SX Class starts list and ties Martin Davalos and Stephane Roncada for fourth on the all-time 250SX Class podiums list with 24. He seeks out his 180th SMX League start in Foxborough.

Tom Vialle

TOM VIALLE: (2-5-3) Retains the red plate with his third consecutive podium but is winless on the season. He now has 10 250SX Class podiums in 24 starts and 21 SMX League podiums in 52 starts. Willie Surratt won the 1987 Western Divisional title without a victory and Tim Ferry won the 1997 Eastern Divisional without a victory, so there is precedence for this occurrence.

Seth Hammaker

NOTES: Seth Hammaker (4th, 9-1-1): A bad first race soured what could have been a sweep for Hammaker, who has the hot hand going into Foxborough and only trails the red plate by 13 points. Hardy Munoz (7-11-8)Career best SMX League finish of ninth in his 41st SMX League start. Hamden Hudson (17th, 18-16-15)First career 250SX Class start and 2nd SMX League start.

250 Foxborough Facts:

  • HISTORY LESSON: The first and only 250SX Class round held in Schaefer Stadium was on June 2, 1990. Denny Stephenson (Suzuki) won his eighth round of the season to clinch the Eastern Divisional Championship one round early. Schaefer Stadium’s 1983-1984 rounds pre-dated the 250SX Class, so its venue history is different than the 450SX Class.
  • VENUE HISTORY: Gillette Stadium has the same history for both classes however, with rounds in ’16, ’18, ’22, & 24. Martin Davalos (Husqvarna) won the first 250SX Class round in Gillette Stadium. It was the first time a Husqvarna and Suzuki won on the same night, something that has only happened three times since (2018 San Diego, 2024 Glendale, and 2025 Daytona). Zach Osborne made Husqvarna 2/2 in Gillette stadium in 2018 during his second title run.
  • THE BEST A MAN CAN GET 22/24: Jett Lawrence clinched the 2022 250SX Class Eastern Divisional title in Gillette Stadium just like Stephenson did in Schaefer Stadium in 1990. Haiden Deegan (Yamaha) won last season to inch closer to Tom Vialle but fell four points shy in the 2024 title chase. Cameron McAdoo (Kawasaki) finished runner-up to retain the red plate but was injured the next weekend in Nashville.
  • CHAMPIONSHIP %: Only 2/5 250SX Class winners in Foxborough won the Eastern Divisional title the same season. 2025 will mark the sixth 250SX Class round in Foxborough and fifth in Gillette Stadium.
