Mason Massey Looking for Madera Mastery Saturday Night
Madera Outlook… Mason Massey and the No. 19 Mongoose Power Solutions
team head to Madera Speedway for round 10 of the ARCA Menards Series
West (AMSW) season, where Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) will lean on nearly
three decades of experience at the third-mile track. BMR’s Madera roots
date back to 1995, when team owner Bill McAnally made the team’s first
two starts at the facility.
With Massey and teammate Hailie Deegan
making their AMSW Madera debuts, Saturday night marks the team’s 14th
and 15th career starts at the track and the 11th and 12th different BMR
drivers to race at the facility. Eric Holmes recorded BMR’s lone victory
at Madera in 2009 after finishing fifth in 2003, while Eric Johnson Jr.
brought BMR their most recent top-five with a 4th place finish in 2024.
With 10 wins at the similar 0.333-mile All American Speedway, BMR’s
short-track experience will be put to the test as Massey makes his
Madera debut Saturday night.
Massey’s Metrics… While Massey’s success has come on the bigger tracks
on the AMSW schedule, the Douglasville, Ga. native has two previous
0.333-mile starts in his ARCA career. Massey made his second career ARCA
start in the East series at Columbus Motor Speedway but recently
returned to a third mile circuit at All American Speedway two weekends
ago. Massey will carry the Mongoose Power Solutions colors again this
weekend, and has earned an average finish of 2.5 with them on board.
Massey will look to put together another strong night and get the
Mongoose Power Solutions Chevrolet SS back into Victory Lane, just as he
did in the season opener at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway.
Season to Date… With 10 races into the AMSW season, Massey has taken
the checkered flag twice at Kern Raceway and Portland International
Raceway, putting him second in the championship standings. He has led 33
laps and collected six top-five finishes to this point, with four races
remaining to make a charge for the AMSW championship.
